Meeting Preview: At the August meeting, William LaMartin will demonstrate several programs including the Adobe Acrobat Writer and Microsoft Access. Mary Sheridan, as usual, will conduct a 30 minute Windows discussion at the beginning of the meeting.

President’s Message

This month I’d like to give some well deserved recognition to MOSI for supplying our meeting facilities. We first made contact with the organization through Ford Bond, who is still our MOSI Liaison and a member of our Board of Directors with full voting rights. In addition to coordinating the facilities, he has proved to be a valuable voice in Board discussions. We owe Connie Kincaid, our former TPCUG president, our thanks for the initial arrangements.

I’d also like to thank Jan Luth, Director of Education at MOSI. I’ve spoken to Jan a few times and I’m delighted to say that we have a commitment from Jan of her continued support at MOSI. We are very lucky to have this support; it would be very difficult to match these facilities. It’s not only the right size for us, but also the projector and PC interface are absolutely invaluable.

And again I’d like to mention that Ford has been with us unfailingly. He not only joined the club, but he’s been there month after month for us. Thanks, Ford, and thank you, MOSI. u
